How to get from Marco Polo to Venice

Venice ends at Piazzale Roma — the last point wheels can reach. So every transfer comes in two halves: the road, which we drive, and the water, which we arrange. Your driver meets the flight at Marco Polo or Treviso, and at Piazzale Roma walks you to the water-taxi pontoon rather than pointing at it.

For hotels on the islands the vaporetto costs €9.50, but at rush hour it holds your luggage hostage; a private water taxi at ≈ €120 goes from the door to your hotel’s landing stage. For Mestre hotels the car is simply faster and cheaper — ≈ €30 across the bridge.

Beyond the lagoon, Venice is a base for transfers to the Dolomites (Cortina ≈ €260, winter tyres fitted) and days out in Verona or the Prosecco hills. The rides are carried out by licensed local drivers; the price is agreed before you travel and paid on the spot.
