The bus
The ATVO express and the city ACTV line 5 both run from the terminal to Piazzale Roma. Tickets are sold at machines and online. From there it is the vaporetto or a walk over the bridges — with suitcases, count the steps.
By water
Alilaguna is the budget boat to San Marco and Rialto, but it is not quick. A water taxi is the most Venetian option of all: from the airport dock to your hotel door in half an hour, ≈ €120 per boat.
A transfer
≈ €65 to Piazzale Roma: your driver waits in arrivals, helps with the luggage and hands you over at the water-taxi pontoon or the vaporetto stop. One booking covers both halves of the journey.
Travelling light and in no hurry? The €8 bus is excellent. With luggage, or heading for a hotel on the canals, take car plus boat — or a water taxi all the way.
