The tram

The T2 runs from the terminal to SMN station. Cheap and predictable; from the station to your hotel it is a walk over the cobbles or a taxi.

A transfer

≈ €80 — met at the single exit and taken to your hotel door. The key point: Florence’s historic centre is sealed off by ZTL cameras, and hire cars and outside vehicles cannot enter — a licensed transfer can.

Travelling light, the €1.70 tram is honestly the best budget option. With suitcases on the cobbles of the centre, a transfer at ≈ €80 is worth every euro.
