Train to Brunico, then the bus
From Venice the train runs via Fortezza onto the Pusteria valley line; at Brunico you change to a local bus that climbs to Corvara, La Villa and San Cassiano in about 50 minutes. The road up is one hairpin after another, and in winter it takes longer than the timetable says.
The buses run to the lifts, not to the flights
This is the thing to know in advance. The valley’s winter timetable is built around when the lifts open and close: morning services are frequent, evening ones finish early. A flight landing in Venice at nine in the evening may well have no connection until morning — check the timetable for your date, not the summer table.
